| Step 1. |
Strip wire to approximately 3/4" length. We used Monster custom installation 12awg, 2 conductor speaker wire for this demonstration our part #100-658.
| Step 2. |
Insert wire into appropriate gauge crimp sleeve. Insulated collar should slide over outside jacket of wire.
| Step 3. |
Crimp sleeve with the WBT crimp tool (part #093-580) using appropriate slot on tool for the gauge sleeve and wire you are using.
| Step 4. |
Trim off excess sleeve to desired length. Some WBT connectors require different length crimped ends.
| Step 5. |
The result should look like this. The crescent shaped crimp forces the copper strands to flow together, thus creating the illusion of a single stranded wire.
| Step 6. |
The connector is now ready to be put on sleeve. Remove outside collar around connector and insert crimped sleeve into connector body.
| Step 7. |
Tighten down the torx screws on the connector using the T-6 torx key (# 093-582). The screw closest to the front of the connector secures to the crimp sleeve while the rear connector will tighten down on the collar or insulation as a strain relief.
| Step 8. |
Screw on outside shell of the connector and installation is complete!
